Your information
Privacy at REUBENS
What happens to the details you share with us, and how to get in touch.
Who to contact
This notice covers the REUBENS website. For questions about your personal information or to exercise your rights, email admin@reubensbarandbbq.com.
Enquiries and your plans
When you send an enquiry, we receive the contact details and event information you enter. We use these to respond, discuss availability and arrange your plans. Required fields let us understand the enquiry and contact you; optional details are your choice. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in the message.
Group enquiries go to the venue you select. Food-truck enquiries go to the food-truck team. Our admin inbox receives a copy. Resend delivers these emails, and our email providers handle them in the receiving mailboxes. Sending an enquiry does not add you to a marketing list or confirm a booking.
We use enquiry information to take steps at your request before a booking and, where relevant, for our legitimate interests in answering questions and running customer service. We keep it while dealing with your enquiry and any resulting booking, and where necessary for accounting, complaints or legal obligations.
Keeping the forms secure
Our hosting and security services process technical request information to operate the site and prevent abuse. Cloudflare Turnstile checks enquiry submissions. The website briefly limits repeated attempts and does not write enquiry messages to its application database. Email delivery and inbox providers may retain their own records.
The WhatsApp invitation tool
Your invitation is editable in your browser. Copying it copies text to your device; choosing WhatsApp opens a draft. You choose the chat and send it yourself. The tool does not send your invitation to REUBENS or make a booking. WhatsApp’s own privacy terms apply when you use it.
Browser storage and optional analytics
The site uses browser storage for features such as your selected venue, saved burger drafts and, when available, your analytics choice. You can clear this information in your browser settings. Some draft information remains on your device until you clear it or complete the relevant action.
Optional Google Analytics is disabled unless it is configured and approved. When enabled, it only starts after you accept analytics; you can reject it or change your choice through Analytics settings. It measures page and feature use, without sending enquiry contact details or the text of WhatsApp invitations. We do not use advertising tracking through this analytics setup.
Burger Lab
Creating a burger draft keeps it in your browser. If you choose to submit a creation, ingredient suggestion or vote to the community service, that action sends the relevant information to the website. Approved creations may appear on the community board under the display name you provide. Do not include private contact information in public-facing text. Contact admin if you need help with a submitted creation.
Maps, bookings and other services
Google Maps loads only when you choose to load an embedded map. Restaurant bookings, room bookings, takeaway orders and externally organised events may take you to another provider. These providers have their own privacy and booking terms. Website hosting, email delivery, security and font providers may also process technical data.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, object to processing or request a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Email admin to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
