The History

In 1989 our family moved from North London to the leafy market town of Congleton where we became the new owners of Reuben Stubbs Restaurant.  25 years, 5 prime ministers, 2 recessions and countless memories later we decided it was time to re-evaluate our business. So in 2015, we dropped the “Stubbs”, stripped back our menu and focused on perfecting the foods that we love to eat. We spent months sourcing the best suppliers and refining our recipes until we were finally ready to open our doors again as Reubens Bar and BBQ.

As our own biggest critics, we realise that you can’t “fake” homemade that’s why we make as much as possible in house otherwise it just doesn’t taste the same. That philosophy doesn’t end with our food, our drinks menu easily rivals too. Delicious creations, infused spirits and homemade syrups mean our cocktails shouldn’t be missed. Our carefully selected wines are the perfect accompaniment to your meal and we have an extensive selection of bottled and draught beers.
